Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
- Acquire insurance verifications and detailed breakdown of benefits.
- Check In and Check Out patients as needed. Take patient payments. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar using Open Dental.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before patient visits.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries with professionalism, addressing patient needs promptly.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with health information management standards.
- Assist with dental coding and billing processes as needed.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication and workflow within the clinic.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a front desk role, preferably within a dental or medical office setting.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation review.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Knowledge of dental terminology is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
