Duties
- Assist dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Complete denture soft relines and manufacture temporary crowns.
- Perform quality impressions and bite registrations.
- Perform digital intraoral scans.
- Support patient charting for doctors
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical documentation and treatment notes, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Support front office operations as needed, including tasks related to medical coding and dental reception duties.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required (minimum 1-2 year experience)
- Certification in Dental Assisting is highly preferred
- Must be able to work on Saturdays 9am to 2pm; currently office is open Mondays 9am to 5pm, Tuesday 9am to 5pm, Thursdays 11am to 7pm, and Saturdays 9am to 2pm.
- Experience with electronic medical record system such as Open Dental is preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with medical coding practices is a plus.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
