Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide support for patients with acute care needs or those requiring geriatric care.
- Assist in the mobility of patients by lifting and transferring them safely as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care and communicate any changes in patient condition.
- Utilize electronic health record systems like Epic for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Support individuals with disabilities by providing tailored assistance based on their specific needs.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical-surgical environments is advantageous.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
