We are seeking a compassionate and experienced caregiver to assist a client with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, congenital dysphagia, and intellectual disabilities. The client communicates with a few words and gestures, requiring total care and support in all daily activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with eating, drinking, showering, grooming, and toileting.
- Help shift the client in their wheelchair to ensure comfort and safety.
- Prepare and puree meals to accommodate the client's swallowing difficulties.
- Support daily exercise routines.
- Accompany the client on community outings and social activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience with total care for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.
- Ability to prepare meals according to specific dietary needs (pureed consistency).
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to safely transfer and assist clients in a wheelchair.
- Basic knowledge of seizure care is preferred.
Shifts Available:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Monday to Friday: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
- Two 12-hour weekend shifts available (times to be determined)
Salary : $15 - $17
