DSP (Direct Support Professional) Second and Third shift

Job Summary
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs. This position involves working in a group home environment, where the DSP will help clients achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and dedicated to fostering independence and dignity among those they serve.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Observe and document patients' behaviors, progress, and any changes in their condition.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, encouraging social interaction and community involvement.
• Assist with mobility and physical activities; this may include lifting or transferring clients as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
