What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at Gentle Wellness Center?
Gentle Wellness Center located in Fairfax VA, believes in an integrative, functional and holistic approach to wellness and treating the person as a whole.
We are looking for a part-time Nurse Practitioner who takes an integrative approach to medicine combining both conventional medicine along with alternative medical treatments. The NP must be receptive and adaptable to alternate treatment methods.
The NP will be performing integrative internal medicine procedures that utilize the best of both conventional and alternative medicine to improve the health of the patients. Prior training in alternate therapies is not required. Training and certification will be provided by the practice. Some examples of alternate treatment procedures include Hormone Replacement Therapy, Pain Management, High Dose Vitamin C Therapy and Ozone Therapy along with some esthetics treatments like PRP hair restoration. The NP will be performing alternative medicine procedures in supervision of the attending medical doctor who will be available on site or available through phone call / video conferencing if not physically present on site. The NP will also oversee our IV infusion center as well as the work done by our master esthetician.
If you have experience with aesthetic injections such as, botos & derma fillers, that would be a huge plus.
Our practice operates Monday to Friday from 9AM to 6PM. There are no requirements for Saturday and Sunday shifts.
Requirements:
- Nurse Practitioner certification for the state of VA
- Prior training and certification in alternate treatment methods is a big plus but not required.
- Strong background in functional / holistic medicine is required
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience providing direct patient care.
- Effective patient communication and documentation skills,
- Self-motivated and able to work independently,
- Compassionate and friendly demeanor and must be able to make patients feel comfortable during treatment,
- Multi-tasker, with strong time management skills,
- Passionate about helping people,
- Must be willing and able to promote other services offered at our practice,
- Strong computer skills
- Team player and a great multitasker.
This will be an immediate part-time position.
