Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant (DA) to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, must be able to speak Spanish, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Please only apply if you're bilingual in English/Spanish and have either one or all of the following license: DA, Infection Control, X-ray, Coronal Polishing.

Duties

  • Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
  • Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
  • Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staffs
  • Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to younger patients.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is desirable.
  • Understanding of dental terminology and procedures is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for success in this role.
  • Able to speak and understand Spanish.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 – 40 per week
