Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant (DA) to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, must be able to speak Spanish, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staffs
- Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to younger patients.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is desirable.
- Understanding of dental terminology and procedures is essential.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for success in this role.
- Able to speak and understand Spanish.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37 – 40 per week
