Position Overview
The Financial Planning Associate plays a key role in supporting Wealth Advisors by preparing for client meetings, coordinating with the service team, and ensuring all necessary documentation and follow-ups are completed efficiently. This role involves extensive use of financial planning software and requires strong organizational and relational skills to enhance the client experience.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented financial professional with a minimum of two years of experience in financial planning. Recent college graduates with a degree in Financial Planning will be considered. A* CFP® certification is required; new graduates must pass the CFP exam within 6 months.*
Responsibilities
- Assist financial planners in preparing and maintaining comprehensive financial plans and client records, including planning recommendations.
- Engage with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide updates on their financial planning progress.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely execution of tasks, prompt responses, and an exceptional client experience.
- Conduct client service work, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to enhance client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize operational processes and improve client service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience in financial planning or a related field.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation must be reached within 6 months of hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
