Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Analysis : Accurately collect and analyze student behavior data to develop and monitor effective behavioral interventions.
- Collaboration and Teamwork : Work closely with educational teams to design and implement personalized behavior support strategies.
- Behavior Plan Implementation : Implement and monitor Tier 3 behavior plans for students in need of more intensive behavioral support.
- Training and Coaching : Provide training and coaching to teachers, paraprofessionals, and behavior technicians on behavior management techniques and interventions.
- Student Growth Management : Manage data and track student progress to support academic and behavioral growth.
- Long-term Behavior Support : Implement long-term strategies to maintain behavioral improvements and ensure continued student success.
- Team Collaboration : Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and contribute to school-wide events.
- Professional Development : Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay current in the field of behavioral support and special education.
- Other Duties : Perform other tasks as assigned by the Behavior Specialist and Executive Director of Special Education.
Qualifications
Understanding of behavioral characteristics of students with severe behavioral needs.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
