About the Role:
This is a part-time, substitute position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of school facilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be physically fit, and have the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine custodial activities, including sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors, as well as vacuuming rugs and carpets in classrooms, offices, and other assigned areas.
• Clean and disinfect drinking fountains, sinks, toilets, showers, and urinals, as well as mirrors, tile, and windows.
• Report safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to the appropriate authority and maintain the security of buildings by locking and unlocking doors and gates as needed.
• Participate in major summer cleaning projects and perform related duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, as well as regular attendance and punctuality.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds;
- Availability to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends;
Estimated Salary Range: $18-$22 per hour
