Job Overview
The Business Development Executive Auto Care Specialist plays a vital role in developing and expanding our Auto Care program adoption, leading to increased sales for current and new customers. This position is responsible for communicating and executing strategic initiatives, new member enrollment, program adoption, sales promotions, and program training.
Main Responsibilities
- Presents and communicates the value proposition of our Auto Care program to prospects and existing customers, highlighting the benefits of joining our NAPA Auto Care program.
- Works closely with our headquarters team to provide feedback, ideas, and field insights that drive program adoption, new membership, dual enrollments, Autotech training, and sales goals.
- Hosts meetings in assigned territories to provide training on Auto Care program adoption and utilization.
- Achieves territory sales quotas, new members, and co-branded projects.
- Supports local business development groups in meeting management, community events, and marketing to consumers and potential new members.
- Provides exceptional customer service and communication to all NAPA Auto Care centers in assigned territories by regularly visiting members to assist in program adoption, understanding customer needs, presenting programs to address needs, and informing members of key program changes/enhancements.
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of our NAPA Auto Care program and options for members.
- Reviews monthly initiatives with the sales team to ensure focus on Auto Care program benefits.
- Executes weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales plans to achieve business growth opportunities consistent with company objectives.
- Executes Auto Care sales programs/strategies aimed at improving overall effectiveness of the territory, district, and/or area business activities.
- Conducts periodic account reviews to keep management updated on key progress indicators.
- Attends, organizes, and manages key events and trade shows, including market training.
- Regularly logs into the Auto Care member site and NAPA Connect to stay updated on new features.
- Ensures all members in their market have access to the member site.
- Consistently meets or exceeds yearly targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
This role requires:
- 3-5 years of previous selling and account management experience, with a solid record of success developing new business while maintaining and growing existing business.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel within assigned territories, attending meetings, sales meetings, and other events; driving long distances to make multiple sales calls daily, including overnight stays as required by the territory.
- Sales acumen: ability to understand and apply sales principles, techniques, and processes effectively.
- Communication and customer focus: ability to identify, understand, and meet the needs of customers to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Resilience and adaptability: ability to recover quickly from setbacks, maintain motivation, and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Results orientation and financial acumen: strong drive to meet or exceed sales targets and objectives, focusing on achieving measurable outcomes with an understanding of how to structure deals and meet both sales and profit objectives.
