At Genuine Parts Company, we're looking for a highly skilled Customer Service Representative II to join our team. As a key member of our customer-facing department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers' expectations are accurately determined and fully met.
In this role, you will provide guidance to less experienced Customer Service Representatives or may support specific customer(s). This position works more than 50% of the time at the customer location.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Responding to customer inquiries regarding products, providing quotes, and handling order entry.
- Placing customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in (counter sales).
- Influencing Motion Industries' gross profit through negotiating the sale price and purchase price, within certain parameters.
- Maintaining appropriate inventory levels for customers.
You'll also have opportunities to build relationships with customers, drive repeat business, and identify process improvements.
To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening. Strong computer skills and negotiation abilities are also essential.
