Exceeding Customer Expectations in Heavy-Duty Transportation
Position Summary:
As a Local Outside Salesperson, you will provide exceptional customer service, promoting the entire line of Heavy-Duty products and programs to new and existing customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain strong relationships with customers through courteous, efficient, and professional service.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop business plans that achieve product and sales goals.
- Promote the entire range of Heavy-Duty products and programs.
- Stay up-to-date on Heavy Duty product knowledge by interacting with manufacturer's representatives.
- Communicate with customers to understand their needs, leveraging parts knowledge to suggest relevant products and services.
- Demonstrate product functionality and utility based on customer needs.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management.
- Work with manufacturer's representatives to enhance customer knowledge of lines.
- Maintain open communication with existing and previous customers about new products, services, and enhancements.
- Provide detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and customer or vendor relationship issues.
- Offer periodic territory sales forecasts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Prior experience in Heavy-Duty parts or mechanical inclination is necessary.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Reliable, organized, detailed, and focused individual.
- Two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
