About the Role
The Genuine Parts Company is seeking a highly motivated Senior Sales Professional to drive new customer relationships and maintain existing accounts in the Paint, Body, and Equipment Business Development role. This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with mixing stores to provide product expertise and support, as well as selling the full PB&E solution to end-users.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with commercial & wholesale customers, both in-store and in the field.
- Conduct regular sales calls and visits to body shops, dealerships, and industrial customers.
- Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations on NAPA's PB&E products and services.
- Identify customer needs across multiple sales channels and present the full NAPA solution to increase category sales and improve customer satisfaction.
- Assist mixing stores by providing product knowledge, support, and training to existing store staff to improve walk-in service model.
- Monitor market trends and local competitor activities to identify new business opportunities in tandem with local supplier reps and existing NAPA personnel.
- Craft and adhere to a strict business development plan in partnership with local supplier representatives.
- Initiate market-specific trainings, promotions, and product demonstrations with local supplier reps and the category team.
- Understand market sales & profit targets and present updates on forecasts and market analysis in monthly business review meetings.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of previous selling and account management experience.
- Strong demonstrated knowledge in PB&E category.
- A valid driver's license with no DWI convictions within the past four years and not have over three moving violations or two at-fault accidents in the last three years.
- Able to travel within assigned territory, attending account meetings, sales meetings, and other meetings.
- Ability to train and assist others.
- Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (Qlik, PowerBI, MS Office, CRM applications, etc.).
