Job Description

The Role:

We are seeking a self-motivated Customer Sales Representative to achieve success in a pay-for-performance business-to-business, outside sales role through growing our current customers and creating new ones by promoting our entire line of products and services.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals who:

A Day in the Life

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving growth of company-owned NAPA Auto Parts stores, customer base, sales, and profits.
  • Promoting the entire line of NAPA products and programs to wholesale customers.
  • Working with local store managers to develop plans to increase sales and proactively initiating, contacting, managing, and developing leads on a local basis.
  • Identifying specific customer needs and aligning solutions with NAPA's offerings.
  • Collaborating with manufacturer representatives to improve program offerings and grow customer knowledge of lines.
  • Engaging customers and keeping them connected through all of NAPA's eSales programs.
  • Delivering educational seminars, clinics, and presentations on NAPA product lines and services.
  • Maintaining customer satisfaction and providing strong customer service, including solving customer problems, complaints, and questions in person or by telephone.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in a retail store or outside sales environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a customer-focused role, with the ability to perform in a quota-driven environment.
  • A strong understanding and demonstration of basic selling skills, such as preparing for the sales call, managing the customer meeting, handling customer resistance, closing the sale, and account maintenance.
  • The capability to present information in group meetings.
  • A valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 4 years.

Preferred Qualifications

Bonus points if you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • A background in the automotive industry.
