GenUnity is seeking a creative and dynamic leader who wants to support a diverse community of everyday adults to build their capacity to critically evaluate, navigate, and drive change on community issues. The Program Recruitment Manager will be an integral part of GenUnity’s recruitment efforts, identifying and building relationships with prospective members; managing the interview and member selection process; and strengthening our partnerships with employer partners, Commonwealth Corporation, and community outreach groups.

You will develop a leadership and social impact toolkit that is transferrable to any sector, including people leadership & stakeholder management, process management, and measurement & evaluation. You will report directly to and receive 1-1 coaching from GenUnity’s leadership team and be an integral part of a high-impact, up-and-coming social enterprise.
Responsibilities
This is a role for a connector of people - someone who enjoys learning about others and building long-term, collaborative partnerships. In addition to the key responsibilities listed below, this role may evolve over time to support new program development in Boston and beyond. Key responsibilities include :
Identify and connect with prospective members for GenUnity’s issue-focused community leadership programs
Identify and connect with prospective employer partners who want to sponsor their employees to participate in GenUnity’s programming
Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to tailor communications for and build relationships with external outreach partners who can amplify our program recruitment efforts
Engage and provide support to GenUnity staff in recruitment efforts
Represent GenUnity at virtual and in-person external-facing events, including tabling at community events and hosting “Taste of GenUnity” program info sessions
Application Process
Steward prospective applicants through recruitment pipeline, determining, where applicable, employer’s Commonwealth Corps eligibility; provide weekly updates to Recruitment team on applicant pool
Manage partnership with Commonwealth Corporation and employer sponsors; support applicants and their organizations through the Comm. Corps application, onboarding, and invoicing processes
Review program applicants, and manage interview and selection process in collaboration with Program staff
Collaborate with Program staff to update program application
Measurement, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement
Work with leadership team to establish annual and bi-annual recruitment goals that are aligned with GenUnity’s values, priorities, and growth forecast
Document / disseminate processes & best practices for organizational institutional knowledge and for onboarding & training future recruitment staff
Gather data to evaluate and improve recruitment strategies (e.g., LinkedIn outreach)
Actively offer feedback and maintain open communication around training needed, role scope, and other areas for improvement
About You
Your experience, ability, and skills
Proven people skills, including prior sales, recruitment, facilitation, or coaching experience
Experience using Salesforce, Airtable, or other CRM to track candidates from prospecting through onboarding
Project management experience, including work-planning or process management; experience using Asana a plus
Superb organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple and competing priorities, as well as effectively communicate progress and delegate tasks
Ability to fluently navigate different movement spaces and issue areas, and bring various networks into relationship with GenUnity
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills
Grounds work in racial equity : analyzes and addresses the structural impacts of policies, practices, and decisions on different racial groups, and works to eliminate inequities

Other Role Details
Compensation : Base salary will be $70K, with up to $7-10K per year in benefits. Note that salaries are expected to rise over time with the growth of the organization.

We provide community leadership programs that bring together diverse cohorts of 40-50 adults that are multi-racial, cross-class, and intergenerational to unpack a local issue and how they can drive change. Since launching in 2020, we have now served nearly 200 members through 3 Housing program cohorts and 2 Health Equity programs. 97% of members feel more prepared and have gotten more involved in the community since joining our programs. Members have helped introduce new statewide legislation, collaborated with local governments on new projects, and advocated for change in the community and workplace.
