Responsibilities
- Perform blood sampling using appropriate techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Conduct vital signs assessments as part of the patient intake process.
- Maintain accurate records of blood samples and patient information in compliance with laboratory protocols.
- Collaborate with clinical laboratory staff to ensure proper handling and processing of specimens.
- Provide exceptional patient care by addressing concerns and answering questions regarding the procedure.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols to minimize the risk of infection.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment within the laboratory setting.
Experience
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to blood collection is essential.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment used in phlebotomy is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism in all interactions with patients.
