GEO Academies at Baker is a tuition-free, public charter school that serves students in grades K-8. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing an outstanding education for students each day as they transition from elementary to middle school to high school and COLLEGE. Our curriculum and teaching methods are designed using Core Knowledge in K-8 and a blended learning model in elementary school through high school.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The School Clerk/Truancy Monitor is to assist Principal and Staff in overall business operations. The duties are but not limited to:
- Maintain all school and office equipment
- Manage staff and student absence reporting
- Assist Accounting and Accounts Payable Dept.
- Manage Student Data
- Perform receptionist responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of student enrollment
- Supervise and manage school lunch program including state required reporting
- Purchasing
- Assist School Compliance Officer with state mandated compliance reporting
- Work well with staff to contribute towards positive school culture
- Be cheerfully willing to work towards the better good of the school at times even when asked to assist with duties not in your regular work schedule
- Attend all grade level and staff meetings and attend designated school functions outside of school hours
- Follow the school’s policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the principal
- Dress professionally
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma minimum requirement. Associates/bachelor's degree highly preferred.
- Proficiency Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn new systems.
