Key Position Responsibilities
An After School Tutor is required to perform the following duties
- Motivate and support students in reaching high levels of academic success
- Maintain high behavioral expectations for all students
- Perform targeted individual assistance and small group tutoring
- Maintain frequent communication with students and their support network regarding academic progress
- Communicate and collaborate with teachers and school administrators
- Participate in staff development opportunities
- Ensure the security of computer equipment and accessories
- Dress professionally and uphold all school policies
QUALIFICATIONS
- Commitment to the mission and organizational goals of GEO Prep Academies of Greater Baton Rouge and Baker
- Two completed years of college or possess a minimum of 60 college credits (preferred)
- Carry a consistent 3.0 Grade Point Average
- Major in Reading and Language Arts and /or Math
- Able to work 3:00PM to 5:00 PM Monday-Friday
- Students majoring in education, reading and/or language arts
