Job Summary
This is a full-time position that requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in quantitative analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive reviews and audits of medical charts, identifying technical errors and potential issues, and addressing each instance accordingly.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, including demographic data, treatment plans, and test results.
- Supervise and manage medical records staff to ensure timely and accurate filing of documents.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of medical records to identify errors and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to facility staff on medical record management best practices.
- Collaborate with quality improvement teams to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for implementation.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of experience in Health Information Management, with one year in a supervisor capacity and records auditing.
- Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.
- Ability to work with computers and software applications used by the department.
