Job Title: Maintenance Planner-Scheduler
Role Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Planner-Scheduler to join our team in Deer Park, TX. This role is critical to the success of our maintenance operations and plant reliability. The Planner-Scheduler will be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities, managing backlog, ensuring resource availability, and maintaining accurate documentation in our CMMS. This position works closely with the Production Supervisor, MRO Coordinator, and Maintenance Manager to ensure the execution of a well-structured and effective maintenance schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
- Develop and maintain a rolling weekly maintenance schedule, planning activities at least one week in advance.
- Coordinate with production and operations to schedule equipment downtime for maintenance tasks.
- Define job scopes, estimate time and resources, and ensure timely job execution.
- Maintain flexibility to respond to emergency work and reallocate resources with manager approval.
CMMS and Documentation
- Use Dynastar or equivalent CMMS to track work orders, history, labor, and materials.
- Ensure completed work orders are fully documented with accurate job details.
- Maintain the maintenance dashboard and monitor scheduling compliance.
- Generate weekly reports on planned vs. completed work.
Resource and Parts Coordination
- Work with the MRO Coordinator to ensure parts and materials are available for planned jobs.
- Build job kits with necessary tools, permits, and safety documentation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years of experience in maintenance or turnaround planning in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of industrial mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficiency with CMMS systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in maintenance planning/scheduling.
- Prior experience as a Maintenance or Turnaround Planner.
- Millwright or hands-on mechanical background highly valued.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: All GEO Personnel are required to participate in all Corporate Safety Training Programs and any site-specific safety training and policies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
