As the Contract Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts related to mental health services and supporting the legal department in all contract management tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare law, experience working in mental healthcare, and the ability to handle multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including provider agreements, service contracts, and confidentiality agreements, ensuring that terms comply with relevant laws and regulations within the mental health sector.
- Use a contract management system to track, organize, and manage the full lifecycle of contracts, including renewals, amendments, and expiration dates.
- Ensure that all contracts and relevant documents are uploaded, maintained, and easily accessible within the system to support efficient workflow and organization.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of contracts from initiation to execution and renewal, ensuring timely processing and compliance.
- Maintain and organize a comprehensive database of all contracts, amendments, and correspondence.
- Assist the legal team in responding to legal inquiries related to mental health services and provide guidance on contractual obligations.
- Draft and prepare clear and concise contract documents and amendments for review and approval.
- Ensure all contract provisions accurately reflect the agreed-upon terms and protect the organization's interests.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 1-5 years of experience in contract management, with at least 2 years in a healthcare setting, preferably in mental healthcare or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of healthcare laws and regulations, particularly those impacting mental health services (e.g., HIPAA, mental health confidentiality laws).
- Experience navigating Contract Management Systems (IE: ContractWorks)
- Remote work. Standard office environment with occasional travel per business need.
- May involve weekday evening hours to accommodate team member schedules.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Fine finger coordination required for typing, pressing objects such as utilizing laptop/mouse for communication and documentation purposes.
- Ability to speak clearly with team members so others can understand.
- Ability to hear and understand others when speaking.
