Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Professional to join our team. This role focuses on inventory management and software duplication in support of the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic’s TacMobile program. The successful candidate will ensure efficient management of hardware, software, and configuration processes to meet program objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee inventory management processes, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of media assets.
- Perform inspections, inventory, and reconciliation of materials using government-approved software programs.
- Manage software duplication processes, including version control, updates, and distribution.
- Support document preparation for shipment of TacMobile media.
- Monitor inventory data to identify and resolve potential issues, ensuring the availability of critical supply items.
- Validate and document equipment media configurations prior to shipment.
- Ensure compliance with configuration management policies, including adherence to Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Develop and maintain configuration documentation, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in configuration management, inventory control, or related roles.
- Proficiency with government-approved inventory management software and tools.
- Strong understanding of configuration management principles, including version control and documentation.
- Experience in software duplication and hardware configuration processes.
- Familiarity with military systems, particularly those supporting NIWC or TacMobile, is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- U.S. Citizenship is required; candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
