Your role on the team:

• Uses business intelligence tools (Power BI, SQL, etc.) extensively to uncover valuable business insights and drive timely and decisive actions partnering with MHR’s departments (Rental, Service, Sales, etc.) primarily focused on a. minimizing parked equipment by swapping with expired leases in the network, b. replacing short term rentals with leased equipment when appropriate, c. identifying equipment with high maintenance cost to determine replacement and/or cost reduction strategies and d. opportunistically identifying expired lease machines in great condition to buy out to reduce operating expenses.
• Establishes robust control processes to manage daily the timely execution of the action items identified to improve the financial performance of MHR, providing full visibility to top management.
• Ensures data integrity and accuracy between the Enterprise management system (Softbase) and MHR Business Intelligence platform by working with all pertinent workstreams within MHR.
• Analyzes financial / business / operational data to identify short- and long-term trends and drivers that can support timely decision and action to improve the business and achieve our financial goals.
• Actively participates in the development roadmap of the Business Intelligence tool within MHR (Optimus Prime) for future phases, partnering with Project Finance and other workstreams within GEODIS.
• Maintains a database of all existing rolling stock equipment operating leases in the network indicating initial machine cost, monthly lease cost, lease start date, lease end date, etc. 
• Establishes partnerships with equipment vendors and leasing partners to expedite decision making and timely execution of optimization strategies.
• Works as a liaison with GEODIS CL US Solutions Engineering to understand equipment requirements of potential new business accounts, ensuring early planning of the rolling stock equipment to minimize the need of short-term rentals at Go Live.
• Ensures the Solutions US Cost model has the correct pricing for rolling stock equipment on each model release.
• Develops appropriate analytics to determine YoY equipment price increases to the GEODIS network.
• Prepares Month End Variance Analysis report to be distributed to MHR Department Leaders, indicating the financial results of each Department and root causes of key variances to LOS budget and pertinent forecasts / internal targets.
• Reviews trial balance from Finance to ensure expense and revenue elements are accurate.
• Responsible for leading the effort to complete the MHR Annual Budgeting Process. Reviews budget for discrepancies against forecast and actual
• Provides financial modeling and analytical support to MHR Leadership to improve operational performance and business results.
• Works on special projects as needed and required.

What you need: (requirements)

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or Business degree required,
• Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• PC literate with experience in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong knowledge of business intelligence tools / databases (Power BI, SQL, etc.)
• Strong communication skills (written, presentations, etc)
