What are the responsibilities and job description for the Demand Planner position at GEODynamics?
GEODynamics in Millsap, TX is looking for qualified candidates for Demand Planner. Our campus is on the frontage road of Interstate 20 near Millsap, TX. Located west of Fort Worth, it is an easy commute from surrounding communities of Weatherford, Stephenville, Mineral Wells and Aledo.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and inventory levels)
- Special emphasis on EH, GOM and International sales demand
- Assist with forecasting and inventory planning meetings with Sales and Supply Chain, reviewing recommended sales forecasts and inventory
- Establish effective and supportive working relationships with the key accounts, exhibiting exceptional communication, follow through and organizational skills
- Collaboratively engage and facilitate meetings and engagements with the field sales, operations, account planning and other functions to ensure we meet customer needs
- On-going analysis and process improvement suggestions
- Develop, recommend, and utilize appropriate statistical models for Sales Forecast to use in the ERP/MRP planning system
- In cooperation with supply chain planners, analyze store and warehouse inventory and in-stock levels to maximize sales at the customer
- Actively participate in training programs, sales meetings, and team meetings
- Proactively and comprehensively manage and maintain all demand activity at assigned accounts to ensure demand plan completeness and accuracy
- Support manager in forecasting analysis and preparation for periodic review with cross-functional team
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent preferred
- 2-4 years of experience preferred in a production, forecasting, or planning role with a particular emphasis on production planning, replenishment, inventory planning, analysis, and modeling
- A minimum of 2 years of replenishment and forecasting experience with overseas sourcing and/or long lead-time products preferred
- Knowledge of all aspects of Supply Chain – Inventory, procurement, lead times, production
- Knowledge of ERP systems Spreadsheet and Data Base applications
- Knowledge of Windows computer applications required including MS Excel and Word
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and perform all tasks with a high degree of urgency and accuracy
