What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD Technician position at Geoengineers Inc?
The CAD Technician is responsible for assisting in the production of figures and design drawings. This position partners with CAD Staff to develop drawings for engineers and scientists. This is an entry level technician position that supports a variety of projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision of CAD staff, assists with: redlines, civil 3D tasks such as the creation of points, surfaces, alignments, and sections/profiles, processing basic CAD and engineering data sets to be used in drawings, creating basic figures, providing basic support for engineering design drawings, internal CAD standard initiatives such as detail library development, creating symbology, organizing layers in templates, etc.
- Collaborates with CAD staff to meet deadlines, adhere to budgets, and ensures deliverables are reviewed for QA/QC.
- Adheres to internal and industry CAD drawing production standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical or Associate’s degree preferred.
- Experience producing civil and/or environmental engineering drawings and figures preferred.
- Basic working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or Microstation/Inroads required.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and/or diagrammatic instructions.
- Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional-level verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- All candidates are subject to completing a background check, and reference check.
- Normal office environment with moderate noise levels, occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs., prolonged sitting and regular walking, bending, standing and reaching.
- Ability to perform consistent work on a PC with prolonged view of a monitor/screen.
Our best estimate of the salary for this position, located in Springfield, MO is $59,000 - $81,200 annually. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. GeoEngineers’ salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance. As part of our competitive total rewards package, employees in this role may also be eligible for our annual year-end bonus offering, subject to program eligibility requirements.
