Job Summary : Develops, administers, maintains, and supports policies and procedures for creating interfaces between and / or converting data from client existing and legacy systems to Geographic Solutions systems. Designs programming specifications through interaction with business owners and subject matter experts. Ensures correct functionality and accuracy of the interface or conversion scripts. Familiar with the standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the labor market industry as well as job services concepts. Relies on direction and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Fully participates in data conversion and data migration projects
- Designs advanced SQL queries, scripts, cursors, stored procedures, triggers
- Optimizes and improves SQL code for better performance
- Understands Full Development Life Cycle & RDBMS
- Assists business analysts and end-users with reporting needs
- Collaborates with applications developers to ensure correct data and data structure to support evolving development
- Develops programming specifications through interaction with business unit subject matter experts
- Works closely with the Team Lead and Analysts throughout the change request process to insure the delivery of an accurate solution
- Processes change requests through OPC ticket system, including application wide data changes
- Estimates the level of effort required to complete a project or change request
- Prepares and updates technical documentation
