Job description
A fast-growing, truckload carrier located in Cedar Rapids IA, is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join as Talent Acquisition Manager. This position would be direct support to the Human Resource in carrying out the responsibilities of bringing well experienced and safety orientated truck drivers to our growing team. Has dedicated itself to providing seamless service for trading partners in the US.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with potential candidates about the benefits of being a Turquoise Trucking Driver
- Field recruiting and cold call potential candidates
- Receive and input Driver resumes and applications
- Assist with managing advertising for Driver recruiting
- Pre-qualify new hires
- Assist with Driver processing, including background, MVR, and DAC screens, employment verifications, scheduling physicals, drug tests, orientation, and complete the hiring process
- Administer orientation for new hires
- Assist with the weekly recruiting report, Driver retention program, safety supplies for the terminal
- Attend career fairs and other driver recruiting opportunities
- Help to train drivers with FMCSA regulations training
- Assist with company safety practices
- Assist with safety issues, and other Turquoise Trucking needs as requested
Preferred Requirements and Skills:
- Knowledge of Transportation/Logistics
- Possesses good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and has a positive attitude
- Background in Human Resources/Recruiting, a plus
- Minimum 45 hours per week
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
