Description
The Geoprobe® Assembly Technician works with a team to assemble technical drilling equipment for the following industries: environmental, geotechnical, water well, and geothermal. This is not an assembly line. Assembly Technicians use detailed schematics to build complex machines and are given a variety of work in their day-to-day schedules. Successful candidates will be highly mechanical with strong hands-on and problem-solving skills, committed to high quality work, comfortable working with a team, and driven to finish tasks on time.

Recognizing assembly technicians need quality tools to succeed, Geoprobe® offers new assembly technicians the option to purchase a full set of pre-determined tools at a discounted price. Current assembly team members can purchase up to $500 of tools from a predetermined vendor at a 50% discount.

Job Responsibilities
- Build components and assemble drilling machines from start to finish
- Apply knowledge of hydraulic systems, power trains, and DC electrical systems to assemble machinery, systems, and equipment according to specifications and blueprints
- Conduct detailed quality inspections on assembled parts and systems to ensure they meet the required standards
- Work closely with other team members, openly sharing knowledge and contributing to the team's collective success
- Identify opportunities for improvement - for the team, employee, company, or customer
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Embrace opportunities for cross-training and contribute to establishing procedures for better workflow
- Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to state problems and solutions clearly
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure tools and equipment are used safely and kept in good condition

Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude
- Helpful experience includes any of the following: farm background or farm work experience, working on engines or automotive components, or heavy equipment use - manufacturing preferred
- Able to read and understand schematics
- Proficient with hand tools
- Basic PC knowledge (ability to operate a keyboard and basic navigation between screens within an application)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Forklift operation and license
