The Rig Electrician is responsible for is responsible for ensuring that the operation and maintenance of the electrical installations and the electrical equipment is kept at a high level so breakdown during operations avoided.
The Rig Electrician will work closely with Mechanical and Technical engineers to ensure that Drilling equipment is kept up and running with minimal down time, and maintenance schedules are upheld to the highest standards.
Qualifications / Experience :
- Minimum 3 years experience as an Electrician on Drilling Rigs Marine or Heavy Industry.
- Accredited Approved Electrical Apprenticeship Preferred
- NVQ Level 3 (or Equivalent) Electrical Engineering
- Minimum Level 3 Electrotechnical Studies (or Equivalent)
- 18th Edition beneficial, although not essential
- Offshore Survival
- Medical Certificate
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug test
