    The Continuous Improvement Coordinator is responsible for driving a culture of continuous improvement by supporting the optimization of manufacturing systems, enhancement of productivity while maintaining high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing plant.
    Conducts regular assessments and audits of manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, or areas with potential for improvement.
    Collaborates with production, quality control, and maintenance teams to identify key issues affecting production performance.
    Works closely with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing systems, enhance productivity, and maintain high-quality standards.
    Leads and facilitates CI projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
    Develops action plans, sets timelines, allocates resources, and leads project teams to execute improvement initiatives.
    Ensures all CI initiatives align with the company’s overall goals, standards, and objectives.
    Monitors and analyzes production data, quality metrics, and KPIs to assess process performance.
    Prepares and presents regular reports on process improvements, efficiency gains, and savings to management.
    Utilizes tools like Value Stream Mapping, Pareto Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis to identify and solve problems.
    Develops and standardizes operational procedures, work instructions, and best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality outputs.
    Maintains and updates documentation related to improvements, including training materials and process change logs.
    Trains and mentors’ employees on CI methodologies, tools, and techniques to foster a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the organization.
    Encourages team involvement in problem-solving sessions and idea generation for improvements.
    Tracks the progress of CI projects, ensuring they are on schedule, meet budget expectations, and deliver the desired outcomes.
    Reports on project results, improvements, and challenges to senior leadership regularly.
    Ensures all process improvements align with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance.
    Collaborates with the safety team to ensure that process changes do not negatively impact the safety culture of the plant.
    Other duties as assigned.

    Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present training materials effectively to diverse audiences.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and levels within the organization.
    Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and TPM.
    Proficient in using CI tools, including statistical analysis software, root cause analysis, and process mapping.
    Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
    Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a plastics or similar production environment.
    Proven track record of leading CI initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
    Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
    Lean Manufacturing certification preferred.
    Exposure to machine noise.
    Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production area.
    Working conditions are normal for a high-volume manufacturing environment.
    Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 25 pounds and working in and around heavy equipment.
    Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, and work boots.
    This role may require walking in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
