The Controller will partner with Director of Finance & Strategy for a $300M US operation to drive positive financial performance. This position will be a leader in the organization through improved financial leadership and decision making to support sales, marketing and the remaining departments within the business, using strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. This position is responsible for the accounting department and financial reporting. This employee will be an integral part of the management team and exercises discretion and independent judgement in the performance of the general business operations of the Company or customers. This is not just an accounting position; it is a financial leadership partner to the business and is expected to challenge business partners to drive continuous improvement through fact-based analytics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Direct and coordinate the preparation financial statements and all related activity including monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reporting. Expected to report financial performance timely to HQ.
Provide value added input through the interpretation of financial results to drive more effective decision making. Identify problems and make recommendations to senior management, as well as participate in the implementation of those recommendations.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management, such as sales performance, margins, profitability, ROI calculations, pricing & discount analysis, breakeven analysis, and variance analysis.
Establish and maintain financial metrics reporting for senior management.
Provide leadership in directing product costing and production variance analysis for the custom fabrication business segment.
Development of internal reports that provide insight into the business, using Power BI or other reporting tools.
Develop forecasts, budgets, and financial models.
Proactively manages costs and actively participates in management decisions.
Establish and implement local policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining the established Internal Control Systems and Risk Management templates.
Supervise the maintenance of the company accounts and sub ledgers. Ensure the correct and accurate accounting classification of all expenditures and documents.
Provide strategic support by providing financial insights and recommendations that help shape strategic projects in the company.
Supervise, train and evaluate accounting staff.
Coordination with and support of external and internal auditors.
Prepare reports for the government and tax authorities, functioning as the primary operational interface with local and U.S. government officials on business and financial matters.
Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Implement lean principals for back-office functions as well as active participation in lean activities in other business area.
