Electrical Assembly Technician

2. Skills and Requirements
- Be familiar with PLCs, servo drives and motors and their application
- Troubleshooting of electrical and electronic circuits
- Read electrical schematics and bills of material
- Experienced with Microsoft Office
- Safety conscious
- Own transportation, punctual
- Soldering skills
- Own hand tools and skilled in their use
- Able to communicate and get along with coworkers and customers
3. Job tasks
- Building electrical panels for industrial machinery.
- Layout panels using engineered drawings.
- Drill, tap, and debur mounting holes.
- Wire and label all components neatly.
- Assemble cable carriers and route cables on the machines.
- Build junction boxes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems
- Work with assembly personnel to optimize the design and construction of machine electronics, occasionally assist in panel and machine assembly as needed
- Use multimeter to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Specify and requisition electrical parts for each machine built.
- Perform measurements on control systems
- Work with setup personnel to enhance machine performance
Other
- Will be required to travel to vendor locations for training or customer facilities for installation assistance of Georg North America products. Travel may be domestic or international
