Forklift Driver

Summary of Position:

A Receiving Forklift Operator job functions are related to movement of goods and material from one place to another. The operator is also involved in loading and unloading processes as well as sorting and systematic handling of production items.

Essential Duties for all Employees:

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment that promotes work safety and product integrity.

· Must follow all Safety, HACCP & GMP requirements at all times.

· Adaptable to a fast paced environment.

· Willing to be flexible to accommodate changing business conditions.

· Ensure cleanliness around facility, freezer and production area.

· Be available to work a flexible schedule; nights, weekends and overtime as needed.

Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

· Participate in forklift certification training and annual recertification for license renewal.

· Loading goods on to the forklift in a systematic procedure.

· Following proper handling procedure of the goods.

· Responsibility for conducting daily inspection of the forklift to ensure its safety and ability to performing the operations.

· Verify the loaded material with the order form given.

· Check, location, count and weigh of inventory.

· Deliver product to production line as needed.

· Document in proper form where product is stored.

· Verify pallet tags and manifest forms are accurate prior to shipping order.

· Participate in monthly inventory counts.

· Fill out receiving documents

· Maintain and work in according to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

• Good oral and written communication skills and able to work collaboratively with peers and cross- functionally.
• Awareness of the safety and official procedures for handling goods and supplies.
• Ability to effectively manage time and meet set targets and deadlines.
• Forklift Certification preferred

Physical Requirement

· Able to lift 50 lbs. repetitiously.

· Push and pulling of pallets and lifting products are required.

· Bending, crouching and kneeling maybe required.

· May be required to re-stack or break down pallets.
