George Fox University announces a teaching-track faculty position in Engineering to begin August 2025. We seek inspirational applicants who have a passion and gifting to teach in our freshman level Engineering Principles sequence. Applicants should also be able to teach a broad range of other introductory level undergraduate engineering and physics courses. Applicants from all engineering backgrounds (or closely related fields) are encouraged to apply. Preferred areas of expertise include design, robotics, manufacturing and / or materials processing.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Teaching our freshmen engineering principles courses. Knowledge of SOLIDWORKS, basic machining processes and design as well as some familiarity with Python and Arduino platforms.
- Active and innovative collaboration with other faculty from engineering, natural sciences, business and art.
- Providing leadership and development for our engineering ambassadors outreach program, and participating with student recruiting and advising.
- Developing, assessing and sustaining engaging pedagogy that features active learning and promotes the entrepreneurial mindset.
- Participating in the work of the department and university including university committees as needed.
- Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
- By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
- Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect, appreciation and humility.
- Other duties as assigned.
