George Fox University's Murdock Library is seeking a highly skilled and motivated team player to fill the role of Research and Instruction Librarian.
About the job :
As a member of the librarian team, the Research and Instruction Librarian partners with teaching faculty to understand their research and information needs, offers research services to students and faculty, and delivers instructional sessions.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Serving as liaison to various departments. Partnering with teaching faculty to understand resource needs.
- Developing and teaching information literacy sessions in support of program and course objectives.
- Providing research consultations in person and via phone, email, and Zoom.
- Creating and maintaining libguides for subjects and specific classes.
- In support of one's personal development, participating in professional groups and associations is expected. The librarian will contribute new knowledge and desire to learn new information to spur innovation. Each year the librarian will complete a faculty growth plan.
- Occasional travel between library locations.
- Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
- By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
- Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect, appreciation and humility.
- Other duties as assigned.
