George Gervin Campus Leader (principal) is a visionary leader responsible for overseeing K-12th campuses, including academic achievement, staff development, student well-being, community engagement, and ensuring the school operates in alignment with its George Gervin Academy mission, by driving instructional excellence, fostering a positive school culture, and advocating for student success through data-driven decision making and collaborative leadership.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
· Two or more years of experience in charter school management and administration.
· Two or more years of experience in public school classroom instruction.
Proven experience as a successful school leader, preferably in a charter school setting
·Demonstrated ability to lead instructional improvement and data-driven decision-making.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members.
· Familiar with TEA, SPED, T-Tess,504, and ESL mandates and procedures.
· Texas teaching certification.
· Texas Principal certificate. Preferred
Key Responsibilities:
· Academic Leadership:
· Develop and implement a rigorous curriculum aligned with state standards and the charter school's mission, monitoring student progress through data analysis to identify areas for improvement.
· Supervise and evaluate teachers, providing ongoing professional development to enhance instructional practices and student learning outcomes.
· Analyze student achievement data to inform instructional decisions and interventions for struggling students.
· School Culture and Community Engagement:
· Foster a positive and inclusive school climate where all students feel safe, respected, and challenged to reach their full potential.
·Build strong relationships with parents, guardians, and community members, actively engaging them in the school's goals and initiatives.
· Promote student leadership and extracurricular activities that support holistic development.
· Operational Management:
· Manage the school budget effectively, ensuring resources support student learning and school priorities.
·Oversee school operations including student attendance, discipline, safety protocols, and facility maintenance.
Compliance and Reporting:
· Ensure adherence to all state and federal regulations, charter school guidelines, and reporting requirements.
· Regularly communicate school performance data to the school board and stakeholders.

Pay: $74,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Supervise and evaluate the performance of staff assigned to campus including assistant principal(s),
· teacher(s), counselor(s), librarian(s), instructional aides, clerical support staff, and custodians.
Working Conditions
Campus Leader is a full-time, salaried position with a 12-month work schedule.
