What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychologist position at George Junior Republic?
George Junior Republic in Indiana seeks a Contracted Psychologist.
The Contracted Psychologist will:
1. Provide comprehensive psychological evaluation services to assess the mental health of clients involved with the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) and/or Juvenile Probation.
2. Utilize various evidence-based psychological tests to assess the patients’ well-being.
3. Request and review collateral medical, educational, and clinical records, and include a summary in evaluation reports.
4. Write reports to support services rendered to patients, including recommendations as appropriate based on diagnostic summary.
5. Maintain documentation in compliance with the Contract and DCS requirements.
6. Provide child and family team feedback, as requested, following completed evaluation reports.
7. Provide testimony in court regarding evaluation results, if subpoena is issued.
8. Complete administrative task including scheduling your evaluations.
The Psychologist is responsible for completing psychological testing in person. Travel is required for in-person evaluation services and would be based on the number of scheduled evaluations.
Travel includes the southeast Indianapolis.
Requirements:
- Indiana Licensed Psychologist
- Experience evaluating both child and adult clients required. Specialization with adult only or child only evaluations will be considered.
- Resident of Indiana
- Valid Indiana driver's license
