Summary of the position: The Juvenile Sex Offender Therapist is responsible for the management of an assigned juvenile caseload of clientele for individual, family and group therapy in a residential setting. This will be done as a member of and in coordination with the Treatment Team by performing the following duties. This position requires excellent oral and written communication as well as professional interactions with clients, families and school personnel.

Working Conditions | |
Lifting Requirements | Must be able to perform safety procedures as needed. Procedures may require lifting. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. |
Physical Requirements | Must pass physical and be able to physically restrain youth when necessary. |
Work Location: This position is required to work at various locations, both inside and outside, on school grounds. |
REQUIREMENTS | |
Education | Master’s Degree in a human services field |
Licensure | Preferred, Certification Sex Offender Treatment Specialist or Juvenile Sexual Offending Counselor Certification Required. |
Years of Experience | One year providing child/adolescent therapy preferred |
Computer Experience | Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications |
Other | Excellent writing skills, excellent communication skills, ability to maintain a positive public appearance, ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. |
