The Department of Nutrition and Food Studies (NFS) https://nutrition.gmu.edu/ at George Mason University (GMU) is seeking an energetic Nine-month, Tenure-track faculty member with demonstrated research excellence in the area of Clinical and or Community Nutrition to join a growing department (9 full time faculty). The successful applicant will contribute to the university’s mission through teaching, research, and service by serving as a faculty member in our graduate and undergraduate programs. The department of Nutrition and Food Studies has master’s degree (MS) programs which include our new Graduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics (GPND) as well as general MS degrees with concentrations. Our NFS faculty also have the opportunity to teach undergraduate programs across our minors, and concentrations. Clinical faculty may also provide supervision of students at affiliated clinics. All NFS faculty engage in service activities within the department, college, university, community, and the profession. Candidates who have strong records of contributing to scholarship supported by extramural funding or clear potential to contribute to bringing externally sponsored research to George Mason University are encouraged to apply.
