TITLE: SALES PORTER

George Moore Chevrolet started serving the Jacksonville area in 1986. In 2010, we opened in a new location at 10979 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32225 in the heart of the Arlington automotive community.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The purpose of the Porter is to supervise the appearance of all dealership assets, focusing
on new and used vehicle inventory.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Insure that the delivery process for our customer is an extremely pleasurable
experience.
• Perform any duties asked by the Dealer Principal, Sales Managers, or the Service
Manager.
• Coordinate with Sales Managers that all deliveries are given priority and are
scheduled for delivery in a timely manner.
• Note any open spaces in any display area and notify Sales management daily.
• Keep vehicles properly displayed in a neat and attractive manner.
• Rotate all vehicle line positions so as to give an appearance of freshness to the
inventory.
• Start all vehicles in inventory at least weekly, ensuring that each has at least a quarter
tank of fuel.
• Advise the Lead Sales Manager of any needed mechanical and/or other work/damage
to used inventory.
• Deliver and pick up vehicles from the reconditioning area.
• Make sure with all vehicles

2. George Moore Chevrolet sticker is applied
• Insure that the patio is swept and all display units on the patio are rinsed and wiped
down as needed.
• Walk the used lot every morning, picking up trash and checking the entire inventory.
• Report to GM, LSM, or other Sales/Finance Manager before you leave for the day.
• Job description – (duties), may change at any time and are not only or limited to the
duties described above.
• Prepare vehicles for Dealer Trade status (owner’s manual, floor mats, spare keys,
remotes)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid Florida driver license, with no more than 3 points
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
• Be able to follow directions
• Professional appearance
• Use good judgment
• Be able to multitask
