Our Opportunity

GPJ is hiring an Installation Foreman to join our growing team!

This role is on-site, requiring you to report to our Las Vegas office location a minimum of 5 days per week.

Your Role

You are an Installation Foreman responsible for overseeing the setup, installation, and breakdown of exhibits and displays at events. In this role, you coordinate and lead a team to ensure the timely and accurate assembly of exhibits, adherence to design specifications, and a seamless installation process. Your leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail are instrumental in delivering exceptional visual presentations that effectively showcase your products and services. Your responsibilities include supervising and coordinating the setup, installation, and breakdown of exhibits, displays, and signage, as well as leading a team of installers to ensure tasks are assigned, guidance is provided, and project timelines and quality standards are met.

You collaborate closely with event organizers, exhibitors, and internal stakeholders to interpret design plans, layouts, and specifications for each show, overseeing the handling and assembly of show components to ensure proper placement, alignment, and functionality. Additionally, you manage logistics, including transportation of materials to and from event venues, and maintain inventory of installation materials, tools, and supplies to ensure readiness for upcoming events. Conducting on-site inspections to verify installations meet aesthetic and functional requirements, and providing training and mentorship on best practices, safety protocols, and efficient installation techniques to your team are also critical aspects of your role. You ensure compliance with venue regulations, safety standards, and union guidelines where applicable to uphold a safe and compliant working environment.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and logistical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in interpreting design plans, layouts, and technical specifications for exhibit installations.
  • Knowledge of exhibit construction techniques, materials, and assembly processes.
  • Experience with tools and equipment used in exhibit installation, including hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as required for trade shows and events.
  • Ability to be able to pivot when challenges arise during installation or dismantling of properties.

Your Experience

Experience & Education

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machining or related field is preferred.

Demonstrated experience with at least 1 year in overseeing trade show or event installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications and deadlines.

Travel & Mobility

Travel required at 50%

You will interact with clients, work with General Contractors, and manage & oversee labor on the show floor on behalf of GPJ and its clients. A GPJ Supervisor has to be a quick thinker on and off the show floor. A lot of Challenges and Changes happen while being on show site. A GPJ Supervisor is always able to progress forward and think on the fly. A GPJ Supervisor is a great communicator with not only the labor he/she is running but with the Account team members, Vendors and most importantly Internal and External GPJ Clients! A GPJ Supervisor must ALWAYS represent GPJ in a positive and professional manner, while on and off the clock and are expected to conduct themselves accordingly.
