Garage Door Technician

WE ARE IMMEDIATELY SEEKING…

A full-time residential and/or commercial garage door technician. Experience is preferred but not necessary. RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

• Must have regular and reliable attendance, as well as ability to maintain job schedule and be on time to appointments
• Ensure sufficient and appropriate material and equipment to adequately complete daily assigned jobs and load up on truck from Reno location at the start of the day
• Provide quality installation, repair, and service to our customers on a wide range of residential and commercial garage doors and operating systems, including electrical wiring as it relates to operators, safety/sensor eyes, and wall controls and ability to assess repair needs in a timely manner
• Must be comfortable working at various heights and on ladders
• Must have physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects (75 lbs. ) safely, repetitive reaching, pulling, pushing, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing as well as working inside and outside locations in Northern Nevada with temperature and weather variations
• Must be mechanically inclined ~ good with hand and power tools
• Must have strong customer service and people skills engaging in solution-based conversations showing commitment to complete customer satisfaction
• Ability to deal with customers in professional manner at all times
• Must have a positive “can do” attitude ~ good at troubleshooting
• Must work as strong team member but also comfortable working independently and communicate timely and effectively with all staff
• Must process work orders/invoices on a tablet ensuring all time and materials are accounted for, description of service provided is well documented, as well as take payments before departing job and completing other job paperwork as necessary
• Must have ability to work in constant state of alertness and in safe manner understanding that this is a safety sensitive position that involves driving
• Responsible for vehicle safety, shop, work site, and equipment safety
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as policies, operating, maintenance and safety instructions, installation manuals, as well as follow verbal instructions
• Must show willingness and ability to learn
• Must pass a background check and drug test
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must have high school diploma or GED
• Must have proof of OSHA 10 for Construction OR willing to obtain if you do not have
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
• Other duties as assigned
