Mill Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mill Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in unloading railcars and loading trucks, and mechanical knowledge, with experience in operating heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to safely unload railcars and load semi trucks.
• Unload railcars in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operating and monitoring plant operations.
• General clean up duties to include sweeping, shoveling etc.
• Back up for other roles will be necessary.
• Available for overtime work as necessary.
• General labor duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years experience preferred
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Experience operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, wheel loaders and skid steers is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A valid commercial driving license is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
• Knowledge of augers, belt driven equipment and other equipment preferred.
• Valid Drivers license required for insurance purposes.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Frequently twist, kneel, crawl, bend, climb.
• Occasionally lift, push, push up objects up to 100 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
