What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Paraprofessional - Life Skills (Part Time, 29 hrs max per week) position at George Washington Academy?
GWA is looking for a Special Education Paraprofessional to provide safety and support for children with special education needs in a Life Skills Class. Applicants should enjoy working with children, be patient, and be good with taking directions. Some physical requirements are required. This position is for the 2024-2025 school year for a maximum of 29 hours per week, Monday-Friday. An Associate's Degree, 48 credit hours, or Paraprofessional Test (Praxis) is required. Prior experience working with special education students is desired. Compensation is $16.28 per hour. All employees are required to pass a BCI background check.
