Position Overview
We are seeking board-eligible or board-certified physicians in the following specialties to join the team at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, GW Health, set to open in early 2025:
- Emergency Medicine
- Radiology
- Psychiatry
- OB/GYN
- ICU
- Lab/Pathology
- Anesthesiology
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a historic initiative: Cedar Hill will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC, in over 20 years. Located in Southeast DC, Cedar Hill is designed to serve the community of Wards 7 and 8, providing accessible, high-quality healthcare close to home. This state-of-the-art teaching hospital will offer 136 beds (expandable to 184), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health services, an ambulatory pavilion, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transports.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in your specialty, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support the highest standards of clinical practice.
- Participate in teaching and mentorship for medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to the mission of GW’s School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
- Engage with a robust network of providers, ensuring quality care integration with The George Washington University Hospital and other local facilities.
Basic Qualifications
- Board-Eligible/Board-Certified in one of the designated specialties.
- DC Medical License Must obtain by time of appointment.
- Advanced skills are preferred, especially for roles requiring expertise in specialized care, intensive management, and diagnostic procedures.
