FEED MILL LEAD

SUMMARY:  The Feed Mill Lead works with and oversees a small group of feed mill team members to produce good quality feed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

·        Oversee production and maintenance team members in the assigned Feed Mill.

·        Monitor mill equipment for proper operation.

·        Unload ingredient trucks and record on appropriate documents.

·        Monitor inventories and maintain records to ensure enough ingredients are on hand.

·        Perform basic preventative maintenance and record on appropriate documents.

·        Perform weekly housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned.

·        Take production samples as needed.

·        Take samples of incoming ingredients.

·        Receive ingredients into the facility.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will not have supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of feed mill experience
• Preferred
• Previous leadership responsibilities
