What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Representative position at Georges Inc?
SUMMARY: The Sales Representative is an entry level position that will work with cross functional parts of the business in order to maximize sales revenue on commodity products. This position will sell overflows of products from current facilities and product out of cold storages to new and current customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Identify and market commodity services to customers by managing relationships with current customers and prospecting new through face to face visits and phone interactions.
- Determine daily and weekly pricing quotes based on commodity market data and trends
- Work with Sales and Production Planning team to understand product availability and customer market segments.
- Work closely with transportation in order to properly communicate delivery and expected leave times.
- Attend food shows and customer related events in order to support the business.
- Prepare weekly and monthly tracking reports in order to communicate to management and monitor progress.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
- 1 year of experience in poultry, customer sales or related industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal
- Proficient computer skills, especially in Microsoft applications (Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.)
- Travel would be required 25-35% of the time
