Hiring for 2nd Shifts at $16-$17 hour based on experience and certifications, with a 90 day performance review.
Baruch Senior Ministries, a nonprofit, faith based organization, is looking for a dynamic, energetic, highly motivated individuals to be a Resident Care Specialist or Resident Caregiver at Georgetown and Cambridge Assisted Living in Grandville, MI.
Georgetown and Cambridge Assisted Living offers assisted living and specialized care in a homelike environment with a range of care covering minimal assistance to full care care & memory care for the frail elderly. This isn't just a job, but a ministry to show God's love by serving seniors as they age. We are located at 141-151 Port Sheldon Grandville, MI.
Job Responsibilities include, not limited to:
- Accurate Medication Administration and Record-keeping using electronic MAR
- Charting resident behaviors and needs
- Taking vitals, including blood pressure, weight, blood glucose, pulse ox
- Reporting change in condition to Resident Care Manager and facility Nurse Practitioner when needed.
- Assisting with resident cares including oral care, shower assistance, assistance and reminders for eating meals
- Safe transfer techniques using equipment, gait belts, and proper 2 person assist
Required Qualifications:
- A PASSION to care for the elderly community.
- Strong work ethic with great attendance.
- A friendly, POSITIVE attitude.
- Willingness to work & learn
- A high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screen after conditional job offer.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 months care-giving experience preferred. Highly preferable to have experience with a variety of patient care needs.
- CPR/First Aid preferred, will train.
- CNA, MA, or RMA preferred, wage will reflect certifications, but certifications not required!
- Medication passing experience, will train
Job Type: Full-time.
Shift Schedule: 3p-11p, 8-40 hours weekly, opportunity for overtime hours if desired. Every-other weekend required.

Training Schedule:
Day 1: Orientation
Day 2-5: We start all new care staff as caregivers, this ensures each new team member is comfortable with our residents, schedules/routines, policies, and other staff. 4 day caregiver training followed by assessment of clinical skills. Additional training added where needed.
Upon successful completion of caregiver training, medication technician training begins, if appropriate for the staff member.
