This position works with the Director of the Graves Center for Calling and Career to expand and sustain a network of private businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies to identify experiential education and employment opportunities for Georgetown College students; and work with faculty, staff, and students to increase number of Georgetown College students involved in experiential learning opportunities on- and off-campus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The Graves Center for Calling and Career is working to increase the number of Georgetown College students who participate in experiential education, including internships. The Assistant Director will be primarily responsible for:
- Building and sustaining relationships with businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies to facilitate opportunities for Georgetown College student experiential learning.
- Assisting Georgetown College students in identifying and successfully applying for experiential learning opportunities and maintaining an on-going record and documentation of these experiences.
- Coordinating and implementing on-campus networking and professional development events.
The Assistant Director will work with the Director, as needed, to:
- Support students in identifying, applying for, and onboarding to on-campus job opportunities.
- Provide general one-on-one career advising and class presentations.
- Review student job and graduate/professional education application materials.
The Assistant Director will work with the Director and the Office of Alumni Relations and other College offices to ensure success in achieving the goals of Georgetown College’s Strategic Plan, including:

- Develop a plan to strengthen relationships between Calling and Career staff and faculty to build employment outcomes.
- Create an organized mentorship program connecting students and alumni.
- Develop a plan to identify and engage key community members as speakers and as campus guests for lecture and cultural events and to steward these relationships.

- Education and / or Experience - Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university.

- Reasoning - Ability to solve practical problems and manage relationships among employers, students, administrative offices, and faculty advisers.
